On Thursday, February 19, 2015, the Auxiliary donated $1000.00 to the Community Harvest Food Bank.

The Treasure Shop is featuring winter clothing for children, women and men. Also outerwear for everyone. We have skates for the whole family. We also carry crafts, fabric, bedding and linens. Christmas decorations are going fast. Our auction is up and running. Many items to bid on. Check it out.
The Castlegar & District Hospital Auxiliary Society celebrated the grand opening of the second floor of the HOSPITAL AUXILIARY TREASURE SHOP (REFERRED TO AS THE TREASURE SHOP) on August 20, 2014.
Thank you to the students of the Rotary Club!!! Friday, March 7th @ 3:00pm the Rotary Club interact students along with Lorraine Hartson made the move from Pete’s TV. Suitcases that we use for storing were loaded onto a truck by the students and brought back to the Treasure Shop and delivered by the students to the second floor.
With over three years of planning and a grant from Columbia Basin Trust of $60,000, the Treasure Shop is expanding their building which will allow them to sell larger items such as furniture – in turn, providing more benefits to the community.
We would like to thank all the supporters of the Aviva Community Fund contest that we were a part of. Thank you to all of the people that voted daily and liked our idea.

The Castlegar & District Hospital Auxiliary Society had the pleasure of hosting the BCAHA KBA Conference on Friday, September 13 2013. The theme of the Conference was “Being the Best We Can Be” – “Better Together.”
‘Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer.’ So it is inscribed on the handout literature for the BC Association of Hospital Auxiliaries’ Kootenay Boundary Area Conference, 2013, hosted by the Castlegar and District Chapter on September 13.
This month our very own Polly Chernoff is featured in a story called “Amazing Seniors” that is in the 2013 summer issue of Route 3 Magazine.
