The Castlegar and District Hospital Auxiliary Society is a REAL TREASURE for our community.

Nettie Stupnikoff, President of the Society, states that she, along with many other hard working volunteers, are thrilled by the support the community provides by donating items to the Hospital Auxiliary Treasure Shop, located beside the Bowling Alley in Castlegar.

Through much hard work Nettie and the other volunteers provide a service for the community and raise money to be returned to the community in a variety of ways.

Recently the Hospital Auxiliary presented a new defibrillator to the Castlegar Curling Club.

“It gives us great pleasure to provide life saving equipment to the Curling Club,” Nettie said.

Training will be provided this fall to members of the Curling Club to ensure proper use of the defibrillator in an emergency situation.

Ron Anderson, Curling Club President says that, “the Club is most appreciative of the generous donation of the defibrillator to the Curling Club.”
