We are honoured to have the BC Government proclaim May 10th as Health Care Auxiliary day. In 2025 the Castlegar and District Hospital Auxiliary donated $111,606.82 to assist community agencies to better serve our community. Our 40 very hardworking volunteers freely give their time and energy to make these donations possible.
In 2025 our donations spanned a spectrum of services from schools and daycares for Food Programs, fire departments and KERPA to purchase lifesaving equipment, Operation Feast and the Food Bank to help feed our most vulnerable populations and donations to both the Castlegar Health Centre and Kootenay Boundary Hospital Foundations for services and equipment.
Help us to help others by donating clean and gently used items to our Treasure Shop on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Together we can help our community “one donation at a time”.
